Product Designer (Robot Gripper)
The robot arm is only as useful as the tool attached to it.
The gripper is the part that actually interacts with baskets, oil, heat, steam, and food environments every day, so it needs to work reliably and be easy to clean and maintain.
What you'll do
- Designing and testing grippers and end-effectors for a cobot in a food environment.
- Developing concepts in CAD and improving them through rapid iteration.
- Testing reach, mounting, and reliability.
- Printing prototypes, running experiments, and refining designs based on real results.
- Thinking about hygiene and maintainability from the beginning.
What you bring
- You’re studying mechanical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or a related field.
- You’re comfortable with CAD and mechanical design.
- You enjoy building and testing things, not only discussing them.
- German or English at a working level.
Nice to have
- Python, FEM, GD&T, RoboDK, or experience with hygienic design.
What we offer
- Ownership over an important subsystem.
- Fast feedback and direct collaboration with the founders.
- Flexible hours around your studies.
- A possible path into a thesis or longer-term role.
- A workshop environment where things are actually built and tested.
